School is Ready for you....Are you ready?

Welcome

We know many of you are thinking of school starting soon; we are, too. The Middle
School is an exciting place, and we are spending the summer preparing for our year
together.

We hope all new students have been contacted by a host who will help them find their
way around during the first days of the new school year. Please call the school if this is
not the case.

To help families prepare, we have included a supply list and some helpful hints. Students
will receive schedules and class information at orientation on September 5th. We will help
students find their classrooms and help them understand the schedule. Parents will be
briefed at Back-to-School Night, September 14th.

We look forward to seeing you in September,

Contact? The fastest, most reliable method of contact with teachers is through individual
teacher’s e-mail. We check our e-mail at various times during the day. If you prefer to leave a
voice mail, we will try to return your call within a day. Both voice-mail extensions and e-mail
addresses can be found in the Catlin Gabel School directory and on the Web site at
www.catlin.edu.

We send out newsletters regularly. The Peek of the Week is a weekly newsletter for the entire
Middle School which is available on-line every Thursday afternoon. This newsletter, News at
Seven, is mailed monthly to families of seventh graders. It is an excellent way to find out what
is happening in the life of seventh graders. We will highlight upcoming events and inform you
of what is happening in the classroom. If you prefer to receive either newsletter by e-mail,
please let us know.
Just a reminder: Have you returned your completed athletics physical form to Chris in the
Middle School office? Remember, all seventh graders are required to have physical exams before
the start of school. If you have any questions please call Chris at 503.203.5103. Physical forms
may also be downloaded from the MS section of the Catlin Gabel Website.
